Claus Knoop, geb. 2.3.1813 in Altengamme, führt den Altengammer Zweig fort. Er wohnt dort in Nr. 11 niederwärts, wo er 1841, 1843 und 1849 als Einwohner im Backhause erwähnt wird, 1845 in Nr. 10. Von Beruf ist er Mauermann, als solcher 1843, 1845, 1849, 1853, 1864, 1865 und 1880 erwähnt. Er stirbt am 30.9.1883 in Neumünster, als er dort einen Sohn besuchte.
Am 24.8.1834 heiratete er in Neuengamme Anke Puttfarken, die Tochter von Hennig Puttfarken und Ancke geb. Minten. Sie stirbt in Altengamme am 21.2.1880 an Diabet. mellit. im Alter von 70 Jahren. Aus dieser Ehe gingen folgende Kinder hervor:

- b) Hennig (geb. 2.8.1839): Lernte das Zimmerhandwerk, starb 1865 an Tuberkulose.
- c) ein totgeborener Sohn (7.12.1841).
- d) Johann (geb. 4.6.1843): Lernte das Tischlerhandwerk, starb 1864 an Diabetes mellitus.
- e) Claus (geb. 21.10.1845): Starb 1853 an Lungenschwindsucht.
- f) Anke (geb. 4.4.1849): Heiratete 1870 Hermann Grell; starb 1878 als Witwe.
- g) Hinrich (geb. 31.7.1852): Wurde in Neumünster unterrichtet und wohnte dort später im Fürsthof Nr. 8.

Da Anke, Hinrich und Nicolaus im Altengammer Kirchenbuch als 7., 8. und 9. Kind bezeichnet werden, muss ein weiteres Kind vor 1849 geboren worden sein.
