I was born in Montreal on April 12, 1963, as the first child of Robert and Annie Knoop. While growing up I lived in Montreal, Kingston, Deep River, Ibiza (Spain), New Amsterdam (Guyana), Ottawa, St. Catharines and Toronto.
I got a Bachelor of Science at Brock University in St. Catharines. After that I moved to Germany, since I’m German and Canadian and was curious what it would be like to live there. After working for about 7 years in various positions at the industrial oil sector I decided to use the experience in product developement (I was the head of a large lab in Germany) and marketing to start up my own business (www.wascut.de).
In 1992 I married Daniela von Koerber and had two sons, Tiemo (20 February 1994) and Lukas (19 October 1997). In 2004 I seperated from my wife, and moved to Klevenow,
where I’m renovating a large manor together with my father.
